Joyous scenes at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea supporters gather
Chelsea have joined an illustrious list of clubs to have won the Champions League more than once.
Saturday night's 1-0 win over Manchester City means the Blues are in the conversation with the likes of Juventus, Benfica, Porto and Nottingham Forest to have lifted European football's richest prize on two occasions.
Of course, there's a long way to go before Chelsea are the most successful English team in the Champions League as they still trail Liverpool's haul of six.
With that said, the Blues have two titles whilst the rest of London have a combined total of zero which means bragging rights over Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will continue.
Furthermore, Chelsea now have one of the most successful players in Champions League history following their win over Man City.
Midfielder Mateo Kovacic - a second-half substitute for Mason Mount - set a remarkable record by claiming a fourth Champions League winners' medal in Porto.
It's the Croatian's first with Chelsea as the other three were won with former club Real Madrid.
However, the 17-minute cameo was actually the first time he has actually featured in a Champions League final after not playing a single minute of Los Blancos' wins between 2015 and 2018.
As a result, at the age of 27, Kovavic has a medal collection that is the envy of a lot of players across Europe. (Football.london)
